Dipl.-Ing. Werner E. König (1982 to June 2008)
German and European patent attorney, European TradeMark Attorney;

studied mechanical engineering at the Darmstadt University of Technology until November 1965, then worked as a development engineer on compressor construction and was eventually admitted as a German patent attorney in December 1972. Admission as a European patent attorney followed in December 1977. As well as general mechanical engineering, he also specialized in textile and medical technology, and acted in many licence negotiations and infringement proceedings. He was also extensively involved in trade mark law.

 

 

Dipl.-Phys. Dr. rer. nat. Ralf Naeven
German and European patent attorney, European TradeMark Attorney; partner

studied physics at RWTH in Aachen, specializing in experimental solid-state physics. During his doctoral studies on "GaAs single crystal growth" he worked in the Institute of Solid-State Research (IFF) at the Jülich Research Centre. In 1993 he joined the firm of König, in which he is now a partner, as a trainee patent attorney: he was admitted as a German patent attorney in January 1997 and authorized to represent clients before the European Patent Office from September 1998. His work on industrial property rights focuses particularly on cases with a physics background and on mechanical and electrical engineering. Mr Naeven is also involved in issues of trade mark law and employment law.

  Christian König, LLM (London)
German Attorney-at-law; certified specialist for IP law; partner

studied law at Würzburg University until February 1997 and concluded the following state-organised training in law by passing the Second Judicial State Examination in November 1999. From September 2000 to September 2001 he studied at King's College London on a scholarship by the DAAD and was eventually awarded the title of Master of Laws in Intellectual Property. He was admitted to the German bar in January 2000. From February 1999 to September 2003 he worked for renowned law firms in Nuremberg and Munich in the field of Intellectual Property law. In October 2003 he joined the firm König & Kollegen. Mr König is concerned with infringement of Intellectual Property rights as well as matters regarding competition law, unfair competition and contract law.
