König & Naeven

This firm was founded in 1982 by Dipl.-Ing. Werner E. König as a firm of patent attorneys and is as today carried on by a patent attorney and an attorney-at-law. Correspondingly, the firm has since then been constantly increasing its activities in all fields of industrial property protection (patents, utility models, designs, trade marks, competition law and copyrights) as well as in adjacent fields, for clients in Germany and abroad.

The firm is based in Aachen, a major city in the immediate vicinity of the Dutch and Belgian borders. The city holds a renowned place in history and culture: it was Charlemagne's capital, with a cathedral that dates back to the Carolingian period, and was for centuries the city where German Kings were crowned. In the twentieth century, many industrial undertakings of all kinds have become established in Aachen. The Aachen University of Technology, named Rheinisch-Westfälisch technische Hochschule Aachen (RWTH), has earned an outstanding reputation in many different disciplines of technology.
